Our home is nestled in-between 2 beautiful creeks in the great smoky mountains! The kitchen, dining, and living room have an open floor plan where family and friends can gather all together! The wrap around deck takes you to the beautiful back porch where the larger creek splits and flows down both sides of the house. Enjoy a picnic, listen to the soothing sounds of the creeks while laying in the hammock, have s'more fun by the fire pit! Come raft, ride, relax, hike, explore, and so much more!

The Bothy - 28 acre private retreat

This custom designed, modern cabin is made for connecting with nature in comfort. The cabin sits by itself on 28 private acres with meadows, forest, a small creek, and trails. You have privacy and space to wander and are still just 15 minutes to town, 10 minutes to Lake Santeetlah, and 1 mile off the Cherohala Skyway. A Bothy is a Scottish term for a small simple farm building that travelers can shelter in. The cabin and land are a perfect place to relax in the Appalachian mountains.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.

We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Cozy vintage cabin on beautiful Lake Santeetlah. Enjoy the water views from the screened in porch, dip your feet in the clear lake on the private dock, or take a kayak out to explore the coastline. In cooler weather, snuggle up by the fire with a good book. Lake Santeetlah is nestled in the mountains of NC, and 80% of the coastline is national forest. The famous Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, beautiful Lake Santeetlah, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Appalachian Trail, Fontana Lake, Bryson City , Nantahala, Harris Cherokee and Valley River Casinos are all just a short drive (30-45 min.).
