Dartington Crystal Glass is a great place to take the kids to experience something a little different, with the chance to see award-winning craftsmen at work, and even have a go yourself! When you enter the Factory Experience, you can watch from an elevated platform as hot molten crystal is transformed in to elegant shapes, using an art that’s 3,000 years old! Discover the history of Dartington Crystal in the Audio-visual Theatre and see how the first pieces of glass were made in the museum section. If you fancy having a go yourself, there are a number of hands on activities available, from the chance to try glass blowing, to having your hand or foot cast forever in glass. You can also paint your own glass, design jewellery and even take your creations home with you as a souvenir.
