Nuraghe Paddaggiu, Castelsardo SS In Sardinia there are about 7000 nuraghi. It represents the most significant find of the area dating back to the Nuragic era, which developed in Sardinia starting from the Bronze Age (circa 1800 BC) until the 2nd century BC in full Roman times. On a slight relief, 15 minutes by car from Castelsardo, is the nuraghe Paddaggiu, a complex nuraghe, formed by a bastion and two side towers. The tholos is still intact, the entrance is rather underground, on the right the passage niche on the left the staircase leading up to the top of the nuraghe. In the tholos there are three niches arranged in a cross, at a certain height there are spaces between the stones that probably supported a wooden mezzanine to exploit the upper part of the tholos.
