The attraction here isn't so much the church, but the sculpture in front of it. This is a great place to pick up the Skulpturenweg of Steinwenden, a roughly 6 kilometer hike through Steinwenden, Weltersbach, and Obermohr, to view 12 huge stone sculptures. The hike is meant to be for all ages and fitness levels and the signage is adequate and easy to follow. Enjoy the fresh air and some exercise as you take in the work of some international and regional artists.
