Fortunately the long range panoramic views Helene' opened were worth the effort it took to clear the downed trees from the miles of hiking trails. The untouched mountain provides an interesting before and after contrast to the power of Mother Nature, along with the amazing pace of her recovery. In many ways our woods are prettier than ever. "Life will find a Way!"

This cozy cottage is on a quiet hillside, 2 miles N. of downtown. Enjoy the privacy of your own space: bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, entrance, deck & parking. Walk to hiking trails, downtown, gardens, UNCA, bars, restaurants & a breathtaking sunset/mountain views. Our whole house water filter system provides glorious chlorine free water for drinking & showering. It's quiet here. A great place to relax. Enjoy a private deck for dining, star gazing or just enjoying the stellar view.

Our historic bungalow is in the quiet Five Points neighborhood, less than a mile from downtown Asheville and less than 1/2 mile to UNCA campus. There is a keypad private entry to this walk-out suite. Guests can access the yard and gardens, a covered porch with a swing bed, and an outdoor dining area. There is off-street parking. Walkers enjoy proximity to downtown, the Botanical Gardens, the Reed Creek Greenway, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. There is also sauna/cold plunge availability.

Enjoy a stylish, comfortable stay in this centrally located (10 min to downtown!) first-floor suite—no steps. Relax on the private patio, unwind by the electric fireplace, prepare light meals in the kitchenette, and sleep soundly in a king bed. This main-level suite is the lower level of our home. Our family—including two young children—lives upstairs. If you’re sensitive to normal household noise, this may not be the best fit, but many guests find it private and perfect for a relaxing stay.

Several excellent restaurants within 1 mile. You’ll have privacy and quiet, & off street parking.

End of road, bedroom/bath behind home, exterior entrance, tile shower, 15 min to Asheville, 8 min Weaverville, 18 min to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 min to Ledges River Park on the French Broad River. The bedroom is 11x14, plus bath, amenity storage & deck.

Come relax and enjoy the views from the private screened in porch, private guest garden with sun deck, or from inside the apt. The choice is yours. At the end of the day, have a restful evening in the comfy king size bed. Mornings are easy with coffee, tea, cereal, or oatmeal. Internet password is on the fridge and you can log onto your favorite streaming accounts. We thoroughly clean and disinfect after every guest. No smoking anywhere on the property.
