We're located 20 minutes from Boone and 15 to West Jefferson, and even closer to the Blue Ridge Parkway and New River activities like fishing and tubing. We love the window-covered walls! It's like being in a tree house... on the ground:) Outside is an acre of flat wooded and grassy yard for exploring plus a fire pit and plenty of seating. We leave you all of the things you need for a great fire!! There is a chance that guests will be staying next door at the antique cabin while you occupy the tiny house. On the other side of the cabin, there is a family favorite guaranteed-catch trout farm - but, occasionally, you may smell the fish!

The Alpine A-Frame

The Alpine A is a solar powered structure on a lean-to roof, built by Gary from the show "Mountain Men" on History Channel. A deck with gas firepit, small grill, a couple folding chairs. Inside is a small living room, kitchenette, toilet room, shower room, queen size bed, twin size bed in the loft, the couch is a futon sleeper. If you've ever wondered what a tiny home is like, now is your chance to experience it in the Alpine A! We are less than 7 minutes from Boone.

Our Happy Little Hut

Come and stay in our unique quonset hut just 15 minutes to Boone! This is a half circle metal building turned into a unique tiny home cabin experience. This 400 sq ft space has everything you need including a bedroom, bathroom and upstairs kids loft. The main area has colorful wood details and an accent wall with 100 year old barn wood right from our own farm. The water is straight from a natural spring up our mountain. This space is ideal for couples, and two kids.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

Close to parkway, in between Boone and Blowing Rock. About 10 min from each.

A family and pet friendly home away from home with character and charm in every corner. Centrally located to Wilkesboro, West Jefferson, and Boone in Deep Gap, NC you can be to Appalachian State University , the Blue Ridge Parkway, or multiple ski mountains in just minutes. The Air bee-N-bee is located in the Honey House where honey is processed and bottled. Maybe our hens will have some farm fresh eggs ready to share with you!
