Gorgeous big park, very safe and well kept. A favourite amongst dog owners and families taking children to the play area. There’s a gorgeous cafe and a summer garden open for food and drinks. Calderson Park is home to the oldest tree in England, the Allerton oak, a tree that’s over a thousand years old.

This stunning park is home to the Calder Stones, ancient megaliths that are said to be older than Stonehenge. There is a cafe, shop, ice cream parlour, mansion house, lake, fields, woodland and beautiful Japanese and traditional English gardens. The Reader organisation is based here and hosts many events all year round.

Our favourite local park within 10 minutes walking distance. Great for kids and an ice cream.
