St. Paul's is the oldest Protestant place of worship in Canada. Founded by proclamation of King George II in 1749, the building was erected in the summer of 1750.
Located just next to Grand Parade next to City Hall. This church is known for the “Face in the Window” which is noted to be the profile of a deacon which was emblazed forever in the window, which happened during the Halifax Explosion in 1917. No matter how many times the glass had been cleaned over the years, the face remains in the window.
