The Monte Toro is the top of Menorca with 358 meters of height. From above you will see all the outline of the island and even, if the weather accompanies, you can get to see Mallorca. Its name receives it according to a legend of a bull that guarded the top of the mountain, preventing that no one reached it. One day monks came to the summit attracted by mysterious lights coming out of their summit. The enraged bull stepped forward, but when he saw the crosses that the monks carried, he led them gently to a grotto on the top of the mountain where an image of the Virgin Mary was to be called "Our Lady of Monte Toro "Or" Nuestra Señora del Toro "(in Catalan:" Mare de Déu del Toro ").
