McMenamins have many locations in Oregon and are very popular locally owned restaurants and brewery. Visit them all. Hillsdale is really the smallest and least unique, but is a fun place with outdoor covered and seating (heated in the winter)

Great place to go for a truly local beer experience with a place that helped put Portland on the map for beer.
