Piccadilly Circus Station

There’s a reason we say a place is like Piccadilly Circus when it’s hectic: Half a million people pass through this station every day. Which explains why the busking spot at the bottom of its escalators is the most requested spot on the Underground. It’s the most lucrative. Keep an eye out for the one-handed guitar player. He’s awesome. He can play better than me. About a third of the way down the northbound platform of the Bakerloo line, there’s a brass barrier at the top of an unsigned secret spiral staircase. Go down this and it will take you straight to the top of the stairs for the Piccadilly line, a sneaky interchange that’s much quicker than the signed route.

A must to see, venture in to China Town or Soho to see a show from there

The Circus is particularly known for its video display and neon signs mounted on the corner building on the northern side, as well as the Shaftesbury memorial fountain and statue of Eros. 35mins away.

Busy much traffic and Eros is not actually Eros but a statue of the god Anteros - the god of requited love but no one cares anymore!
