Fancy a horse riding experience after you visited the library of Congress? you can even drive couple of minutes or take a beautiful hiking trail to get there. That is also in the neighborhood!

You can book trail rides online through Rock Creek Park. They have kid-specific pony rides and adult trail rides. No experience necessary.

Hidden gem if you ride. I've told students about it over the years. My background with horses was many years ago, brief and young, but this is a special place for riders.
