Seasonal opening times Summer - 1 April to 31 August, Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 8pm, Sundays and bank holidays 9am to 8pm. Mid-season - September and March, Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 6pm, Sundays and bank holidays 9am to 6pm. No visit to Bury st Edmunds is complete without a wander around here. In the middle of our city, it is a beautiful haven of well-kept gardens and history There is a really lovely kids park, stunning old cathedral and cloisters and several cafes (my favourite is on angel hill opposite the entrance) as well as restaurants and bars along here too
