Opened in 1890, a gift from lumber baron Charles Hackley. Massive stained-glass windows, spiral staircases, and glass floors are just a few of the architectural works in this building. Not to mention all the books & educational events and programs.

Housed in a beautifully-restored historic building, our public library has a children's floor with hand-painted murals, a second-floor stacks section with a glass floor and an old dumb waiter for moving books.
