The god enshrined here is Sukunahikona. Ikune Shrine was a middle shrine of Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine in the Edo period, but ended the association in 1872, whereupon it became the official local shrine. It had formally belonged to the Sumiyoshi Shrine in the Edo era but later separated in the 5 th year of Meiji . It is said that the main shrine was donated by Yodogimi, and construction work was completed by Katsumoto Katagiri. 3 minutes walk from Nankaikoya Line Sumiyoshihigashi station. This station is 3 minutes ride from Nankaikoya Line Abikomae station which is 4minutes walk from here.
