Kyoto's best Indian restaurant is a narrow upstairs spot on Kawaramachi-dōri. The ¥900 lunch set menu is an excellent deal, as is the vegetarian lunch (¥1200). Dinners run closer to ¥2600 per head and are of very high quality. Finish off the meal with the incredibly rich and creamy coconut ice cream.
