The Milan venue of Fondazione Prada, conceived by architecture firm OMA—led by Rem Koolhaas—expands the repertoire of spatial typologies in which art can be exhibited and shared with the public. Characterized by an articulated architectural configuration which combines seven existing buildings with three new structures (Podium, Cinema and Torre), the venue is the result of the transformation of a distillery dating back to the 1910’s.

One of the best place to visit if you are an Art lover. The foundation consists of several buildings, which are part of a redevelopment project of an early 20th century gin distillery. You'll find always some temporary exhibitions and the permanent one and the lovely bar, called "Bar Luce", was designed by Wes Anderson and server desserts and drinks by Marchesi.

An emerging area that grew up around the Prada Foundation and the former railway yard, Scalo Romana over the years has transformed into one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Milan. Former industrial area, this area has now been redeveloped thanks to state-of-the-art buildings and factories converted to host the most diverse cultural projects. In addition to the new buildings of the Podium, Cinema and Torre, in Scalo Romana the past, present and future merge in harmony. Not surprisingly, one of the first to believe in the area is the Prada Foundation, which from a former distillery of the twentieth century, has created a real artistic center. A favorite destination for young people and artists, this area will intrigue you with its thousand artistic and cultural stimuli.

Inaugurated in 2015, the Prada Foundation is located in an industrial complex dating back to 1910, a former gin distillery in Largo Isarco, a southern suburb of Milan. Suggestive location where the coexistence of new and regenerated buildings including warehouses, laboratories and production silos, as well as new buildings coexist beautifully.
