Vancouver Art Gallery is the largest gallery in Western Canada, and features both historical and contemporary exhibits by regional, national and international artists. It’s housed in the former provincial courthouse, and its exterior is used in many films and TV shows.

Permanent collection of Canadian artists like local Emily Carr and Ontario’s Group of Seven. Also, always wonderful temporary exhibits of modern and historical art.

“Stanley Park is a 405-hectare public park that borders the downtown of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada and is mostly surrounded by waters of Burrard Inlet and English Bay. The park has a long history and was one of the first areas to be explored in the city. Use the Mobi by Shaw Go bicycle network to get bikes for you and your group and explore Stanley Park! For easy riding and to visit all of Stanley's beaches, take the legendary seawall. For a more challenging ride, explore Stanley's complex trail system, make sure to bring your mobile phone so your always connected and able to call for assistance if needed!”

“ Gastown is a neighbourhood that seamlessly combines old with new, history with the way forward. An essential part of Vancouver’s history, a visit to Gastown should include a stroll along Water Street, where you’ll find a picture-perfect collection of old buildings, cobblestones, the Steam Clock, and vintage lampposts. Continue to the end of Water Street to visit a statue of the man who started it all, Gassy Jack Deighton. Architecture and history buffs can take organized walking tours of the area to further explore. Gastown is home to many of the city’s hottest restaurants, making it a great pick for a special night out. From European cuisine with farm-to-table flair, through to Asian-inspired molecular gastronomy and everything in between, Gastown’s restaurants will not disappoint.”
