Overlooking the town we have great views from the bandstand. Walk up Crescent Road to CKs, cross the road and walk up New Road. On the corner is the entrance to Penlan Park. Once you have enjoyed the view you can exit the park on the opposite side, down some steps and into Castle Woods. Follow the track down the hill and turn left at the bottom. Follow the track until it gets to a gate. It’s worth taking a detour here through the field to the river. Quite a good place for a picnic as well. If you carry straight on this will bring you back to the bottom of the bridge. Where you can cross the road and walk up on the right side. Keep right at the church and you will find the property again after walking past the churchyard (with ancient spring) and the picnic benches on your right with a view.
