From The British Museum in London to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Nambé pieces are exhibited in renowned galleries around the world. The cookware is named for a Native American pueblo in the heart of New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo mountains. But the product is entirely a modern invention. It traces its history no further back than 1951, when a Los Alamos metallurgist discovered a durable new aluminum alloy, which he called Nambe.
