Fox and the Fig is a special little place. Their specialty is handcrafted coffee. The person making your coffee has been trained and certified in creating a perfect cup of java. What makes this little place unique is the lifestyle and philosophy of the owners. Aaron and Grace are passionate about their family and their community. It isn’t unusual to see one of Aaron and Grace’s little ones stroll in the front door in their pjs. The Buchanans have been growing a family of 7 right above the shop. If you happen to be there during a slower time of the day, you can hear the faint sound of little feet running around above. When Aaron asks his customers how they are doing, he means it. They are constantly finding ways to bring community into their shop; from the retail section of various hand crafted items to their efforts to provide a farm-to-table menu. They offer a variety of baked goods, including gluten free and vegan. I love their Saturday brunch with cathead buttermilk biscuits and gravy, but my favorite is their made from scratch (as all their food is) Everything Bagels. Be sure to ask for my favorite barista, Summer.
