Uninterrupted views of the Wye Valley, where you can catch sight of birds of prey, including the beautiful red kites who can often be seen hovering over the fields on the farm.

There is a footpath that leads directly from the property into the forest so you can enjoy walking and biking. There’s also two 18 hole golf courses nearby.

The Old Shop is in the agricultural village of English Bicknor within the beautiful Forest of Dean district and the Wye Valley. The iconic Symonds Yat viewpoint is a pleasant walk away from the property through fields and via quiet country lanes. The Old Shop is an ideal base for those wanting to walk, mountain bike, climb, take part in water sports on the River Wye or just relax and explore this beautiful area. Coleford town is close by and there is a lovely local pub in walking distance.

Pat's Flat: a converted Pig Barn located on a peaceful farm, within the beautiful Wye Valley AONB. The historic towns of Monmouth and Ross on Wye, the river and Forest of Dean with their outdoor leisure activities - canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, biking - are easily accessible. A couple of pubs, eateries and village shop are within a few miles walk. Sorry - no pets - this is a working farm and there are friendly Labradors in the adjoining property who are likely to come and say hello.
