Best small museums and little details
You must go to the Tate, the British museum, the National Gallery, the V and A. But there are many smaller gems, some of them really outstanding. I also include my favourite little things to see and do in London.
Incredible magical place. Free entry. Make sure you stay in the Hogarth Room long enough to see the secret walls and hidden pictures.

Every book in the world. The "Treasures" permanent exhibition of a collection of their masterpieces is one of the best museums in London. Includes - earliest everything - printed manuscript, map, book, quran, bible, you name it. Works in hand by Leonardo, Shakespeare, Beethoven, etc etc.
Also see the 'Kings Collection' wall of books as you go up the stairs.
Also a great building.

I recommend the view from Waterloo Bridge as it cross the river just as it turns 90 degrees, so you can see both ways, East towards St Pauls, the City and Canary Wharf, and South towards Parliament and the Eye.

Breakfast cafe
Their cafe 'OTR' is really nice, lovely people, good food, and a nice quiet yard. Lots of kids activities for locals here.
