The British Library stores a copy of each book that has ever been published. There are temporary exhibitions, a Café and interesting architecture. It makes for a break on a London city tour.

Every book in the world. The "Treasures" permanent exhibition of a collection of their masterpieces is one of the best museums in London. Includes - earliest everything - printed manuscript, map, book, quran, bible, you name it. Works in hand by Leonardo, Shakespeare, Beethoven, etc etc. Also see the 'Kings Collection' wall of books as you go up the stairs. Also a great building.
