Here are a list of a few local restaurants that we usually like to go to.
Food is authentic and very good. Hours can be a little bizzare, so its best to check beforehand.

Excellent food and good atmosphere. It is about a 15min drive towards Jasper. A bit more expensive than other restaurants, and you will likely need to make a reservation.
Overlander Mountain Lodge

My personal favourite. Located 15min out of town towards Jasper. Great place to stop and grab beer and comfort food on the way back from a day in Jasper.
Grilled cheese, Burgers, Mac and Cheese and the large Poutine are all good.

Great scenic hike. Not too strenuous
Great stop not too far out of town. The trail head to Geraldine lake is not far from here.

Free Disc Golf in Hinton (next to the bike park). This is a challenging course with lots of trees and hills. If you need discs we have 1 set that you may borrow.
The back nine is the most scenic if you are looking for a shorter game.

Located halfway between Hinton and Jasper. Soak in the hot pool then jump into one of two cold pools. towels and bathing suits can be rented if need be. Sulphur skyline trail head is here. I would plan to do the hike then finish off in the pool.
