Getting Around
Our local wharf, this is literally 2 mins walk down the steps opposite our building.
From here, you can catch the F4 ferry in two directions:
Circular Quay is a main transit hub. From here you can catch an array of ferries, trains and buses, to just about any destination.
Barangaroo/Darling Harbour is a buzzing precinct with a dizzying selection of bars and eateries, as well as various tourist attractions and activities.
McMahons Point Ferry Terminal
Our local wharf, this is literally 2 mins walk down the steps opposite our building.
From here, you can catch the F4 ferry in two directions:
Circular Quay is a main transit hub. From here you can catch an array of ferries, trains and buses, to just about any destination.
Barangaroo/Darling Harbour is a buzzing precinct with a dizzying selection of bars and eateries, as well as various tourist attractions and activities.
Along with ferries, you can also catch several local buses from the McMahons Point wharf, if taking a ferry is not your preference.

Lavender Bay is a beautiful part of the North Shore with some lovely grassy reserves and parks with postcard views, perfect for picnicking or just sitting and soaking up the harbour vibe.

Exploring the local parks and reserves along the North Shore is suited to anyone with a moderate level of mobility. You can do this whole walk or just a section. Take the train from North Sydney to Waverton station. The full walk starts from nearby and passes close by our apartment (PURPLE DOT). The Balls Head stage kicks off at the Coal Loader, a fascinating Heritage listed site with a range of recreational options. This stage of the walk also offers some great lookouts across the harbour, passing through some lovely parkland reserves. For a shorter walk, you could just pick it up from our stay and do the Lavender Bay stage which takes in Wendy's Secret Garden, beautiful Lavender Bay and Luna Park.

We are a bit old for clubbing, so if clubs are your style, you're best to do a web search for these for yourself... but there are some nice bars in Barangaroo which is an easy ferry ride home.
