Classic coastal villa on Playa Negra

For incredible sun and surf, treat yourself to a stay at Villa Floramar. Set amidst lush landscaping on surfing mecca Playa Negra, the four-bedroom villa offers luxe beachfront accommodations for both surfers and guests who’d rather stay on the beach. Two other beaches and a golf course within a short drive mean you’re never far from your next adventure.

Slide open the wide glass doors from the great room to the covered terrace, which has spacious sitting and dining areas. A gazebo on one side is a quieter spot for reading or napping in the shade. Have a swim in the infinity pool just off the terrace, walk the 25 meters to Playa Negra, then rinse the sand off in the villa’s outdoor shower. For evening entertainment, the villa has cable television, and for convenience, there is a laundry room and a security system.

The open-plan interiors of Villa Floramar feel breezy and comfortable with touches of European elegance, like a subtly patterned tile floor. Two cream-colored sofas in the great room’s sitting area offer plenty of seating, while a driftwood coffee table makes a dramatic centerpiece. The adjacent dining area seats eight in casual wicker chairs under a unique sculpted chandelier, and the fully equipped kitchen has both practical touches, like a breakfast bar and state-of-the-art appliances, and a pretty turquoise backsplash.

One of the bedrooms at Villa Floramar is on the ground floor and the other three are upstairs; all are air-conditioned. On the ground floor, one of the two primary suites has a king bed, open-air en-suite bathroom, terrace access and ocean views. Upstairs, the second primary suite has a king bed, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and ocean views. The other two bedrooms have king beds and one has its own en-suite bathroom as well.

Though Villa Floramar is located right on Playa Negra, it’s only 2 miles by car to Playa Blanca and just under 7 miles to Playa Avellana. Play a round at Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course, 7 miles away, and explore Santa Cruz, 22 miles away. Plan on a 50-mile drive from the villa to the Liberia airport or arrange an airport transfer at extra cost.
