Boasting 2 large reception rooms, this is the perfect space to suit everyone's needs. Our property enjoys unrestricted views and boasts a spectacular panoramic view of Lerwick. Sitting closer to Norway than the Scottish mainland, Shetland has many Scandinavian influences. We are fortunate to live on an island where we enjoy a large variety of wildlife combined with breath taking scenery and stunning islands. Shetland is renowned for its iconic fair isle knitting and rich fishing industries and hosts many festivals including Up Helly Aa and the Folk Festival. There are many arts and crafts opportunities, museums and musical events for you to enjoy. This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. There are two entrances so your stay will remain private. The View is on a small estate

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Take a 5-10min stroll over the hill and down to the bothy nestled among reeds on the shore to feel a thousand miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sleeps up to 4 persons with power supplied via 240V battery power pack. Drinking water will be supplied and shower/sink supply will be topped up as required.
