The main room is cozy with a big skylight, comfortable queen bed, swivel chair, and desk and chair. There is a small kitchenette. Easy access to local transit, freeway and conveniently located across from Ohlone bike trail & BART connecting much of the East Bay as well as a large open grass area featuring a ring of Redwoods and Codornices creek to explore. Your host family lives next door and will help you with anything you need during your stay.

Rock Roulade Cocoon

Your own space/ no shared rooms, easy access ground floor and convenient location. This unique place has a fresh style all its own. Formally a secret famous recording studio for pop-rock bands, it was known as “The Hearst”. World famous records by the Killers were made here, “Hot fuss” and “Sawdust”. The first room, (now bedroom) was the control room with recording equipment and the second room (now tub room) was where the musicians played. Welcome pets for a fee if $35/per pet -per night.

Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.
