We have several life jackets available for various sizes but best to bring your own if you need one for a little one. You have your own space on a shared property. The owners live in the main house and happy to help as little or as much as needed!

One of a kind Log Cabin

ONE OF A KIND: We have a guest cabin next to our house, that I built from logs from our property. It has a living area w/woodstove and couch w/recliners, TV, HVAC, bathroom, small kitchen, front porch, back porch, burn pit out back. Wood is supplied. The loft is furnished w/full size bed. The loft and bathroom have very low ceilings so if you are a tall person it will be very tight. Most everything in this cabin has been repurposed so there are lots of vintage items in this little cabin.

Our location is close to Hickory, Morganton, with easy drives to Lake James, Table Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, and Charlotte. The best part is the peaceful setting on our 70-acre farm where you’re free to explore and enjoy the countryside.

It's not uncommon to see fox, deer, turkeys and other wildlife out in the fields year round with whippoorwills and fireflies in the warmer months. The Tuckamore is nestled close to the Rail Trail, an easy walking trail through town. Conveniently located an hour from Charlotte, NC and a half an hour from great hiking in South Mountains State Park.
