Plattin Inn - Walk. Cycle. Relax

Originally a traveller’s rest on the 18th century toll road between Buxton and Macclesfield, Plattin Inn was sympathetically restored in 2011, taking advantage of its glorious Peak District Park location. Walk or cycle from the doorstep or sit on the patio and gaze at the spectacular peaks of Shuttlingsloe or Shining Tor. Being just a mile from the famous Cat & Fiddle Road, the towns of Buxton & Macclesfield are only a 15 minute car ride away. Off road parking. Smallish dog by arrangement.

Lovely stone-built two bedroom cottage in converted barn and piggery, on a 20 acre farm overlooking Shutlingsloe. The farmhouse and cottage were renovated in 2019, but the cottage retains a rustic charm - stone built and with a stone roof, and some barn features. Walks to Shutlingsloe, Grandbach Mill, Lud's Church, the Cat and Fiddle, and Three Shire Head can all be accessed from the farm, as can the local pub and Blaze Farm for ice cream (challenging walks, includes some walking on road).

Owls Loft is a self contained cottage with a private outdoor seating area and paddock. In a tranquil, rural setting, with views of the Cheshire Plain, this is a great place to recharge your batteries. There are a number of National Trust properties within easy reach , as well as Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, the antique shops of Leek and the pottery towns of Stoke on Trent.
