We have young kids so the house is set up to be totally family friendly with everything for families and child safety. It’s located on Windmill Hill and has breathtaking views over the Blackwater River Estuary. The cottage is a two-minute walk to the Mall beach and is a scenic 15 minute walk to the three blue flag beaches . It is also a short walk to historical landmarks such as the Clockgate Tower, the Old Town walls ,Restaurants , cafes, bars and the cinema .

Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!
