The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

Demeter Cottage

Demeter Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage located in White Horse Yard, behind the cobbled streets in the heart of the old town. Its just a stone's throw from the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants/bars, but tucked away for peace and quiet. Sleeping up to 4 guests, featuring a kitchen and cosy living area with fire; together with a private outdoor space to catch the afternoon sun. Access is via a few flights of steps, so may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulty.

The Smithy at Cross Pipes, Goathland

The Smithy is a self contained stone built cottage situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. Spacious studio accommodation with a king sized bed in a recessed area, walk in shower and toilet, full kitchen facilities, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. There is an outside seating area and private parking.

The cottage is cosy and well equipped, we have underfloor heating in the kitchen and comfy sofas on the 2nd floor lounge. The bathroom is located on 3rd floor with the bedrooms. The twin bedroom can be made into a double bed & we can provide a travel cot if requested. One small well behaved dog is allowed (not in the bedrooms or on furniture). The french doors & glass Juliet balcony allow unrestricted views across the sand below, harbour & out to sea. 4 guests max, no pets, no parties (requested quite time 10pm-7am) There is no parking in this area & cottage is unsuitable for children under 10 years old

Old Forge in Wrelton, North Yorkshire.

This cottage, in the village of Wrelton near Pickering, was a 19th century blacksmith's forge and has now been renovated into a delightful living space complete with fully-equipped kitchen, large living room area, bathroom with walk-in shower and a cosy bedroom located on a mezzanine floor which is reached via a spiral staircase. The Old Forge offers a great location for a relaxing stay in beautiful North Yorkshire.
