I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. Location is everything! This bright warm studio sits in the sun triangle of Seatoun, a stone's throw from the beach and only minutes from Wellington Airport. Spacious and equipped with a kitchenette, heat pump, wifi, queen bed, sofa bed and tv. In the village is a restaurant, wine bar, 4 Square and more, the #2 bus stop is steps away and an off street car-park is available. Easy access, stunning coastal walkways and fresh sea air - it’s a lovely spot for work or play stays in the Capital.

"Newtown Oasis" Self contained + breakfast

Our BnB is homely, a little quirky & best suited to those who travel relatively light. Self service breakfast is included. There are 2 spaces (bedroom ± separate kitchen/bathroom) a few steps apart & linked by a covered walkway. The cosy bedroom has a queen size bed, desk for work or eating, good WiFi & comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking & the bathroom has a great shower. The nook outside the bedroom is perfect for a morning coffee.

It's a walk up to a special view of Wellington

Nestled against the bush just above our home, our studio offers an amazing view of Wellington Harbour. Reaching it requires a brief uphill walk, but for those who enjoy the outdoors and don’t shy away from a little exercise, the reward is well worth it. The breathtaking views and cosy accommodation make the effort part of the experience. That said, if you prefer level access or are travelling with particularly heavy luggage, our studio may not be the best fit.

Tui House

A perfect spot to stay for bush-walkers and mountain bikers or for sport or music fans in Wellington for a game or a concert. You’ll see tui and kereru and hear ruru at night. Otari Wilton Bush is over the road, Zealandia 2km away, and it’s a 10-min drive to Makara Peak. You've got a dedicated off road car park and you're 30 metres from a bus that runs at least every 30 minutes every day. You can cook, do laundry, and iron if you want to.

Urban Forest Retreat

Kick back and relax in this calm, private, stylish studio nestled in an urban forest and just a few minutes walk to the beach and 15mins to the CBD/8mins to airport. Stay in and enjoy a morning coffee while listening to native bird song or eat alfresco on the private deck which gets afternoon and evening sun. Go out and explore the south coast with the beach & bush walks less than 10mins walk from your door.
