We are less than an hr. away from the coast, where you can visit Fort Bragg and Mendocino. If you choose to stay close, there are two reservoirs, a hiking trail and picnicking within walking distance as pictured on this sight. The surrounding community is special, with many residents having lived here for decades, tending their homesteads. On your way in, you are likely to see cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens. Deer, coyote, foxes, mountain lions, owls, hawks, vultures, and bears also frequent the area.
