Rocky Valley towards the sea and Bossiney Cove (ideal beach for swimming) are just 30 minutes walk away and you can't leave without having a drink at The Port William, Trebarwith Strand with it's sea views Also nearby is Port Isaac, Rock, Bude and Bodmin moor.

The castle can also be seen by walking the flat path behind the church. King Arthur’s Halls of Chivalry are worth a visit with its stunning round table.

The South West Coast Path is only a five-minute walk across nearby fields, with breathtaking coastal scenery. Secure storage for bikes provided. One dog welcome too.

Carpenters Cottage is a peaceful, and comfortable hideaway between Tintagel and Boscastle. The cottage is fully equipped for self catering and is perfect for anyone who loves to be near the sea and is particularly good for walkers. There is off road parking for one car and lovely walks straight from the cottage to the South West Coast Path. There are plenty of places to eat locally. The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. But if you can drag yourself away from this little gem it's a great place to explore North Cornwall's diverse delights from.

Also a great base for some coast path walking, with some challenging but spectacular cliff walks straight from the door.

Explore the lane up to National Trust land and the dramatic coastpath where you can head southwest for 3/4 of a mile to Trebarwith Strand or head in the other direction to Bossiney Beach, Rocky Valley & famous Boscastle Harbour.
