A bit hipster & not as inexpensive as Star Bagel down the street, but it is also in the neighborhood and has all the special coffee & inventive baked goods and "let's work at a coffee shop & have Iced Green Tea" vibes that you might want. We drink/eat/shop local here!

"The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. It was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition." Also, Nashville was long called the "Athens of the South." There's your Trivia from Olivia for the day. There's also volleyball courts (at the way back), people in hammocks, and a big, spacious green space that plays host to festivals in the warmer months.

Parks & Nature
The Greenway is a local secret that now isn't a secret anymore I guess... You can walk down Nebraska going right out of my house and either go straight past 46th, continuing on Nebraska (you'll see the Greenway path curve around several blocks down 46th that way) or turn left on 46th and walk around the McCabe Community Center to start on the Greenway path there. It goes around McCabe golf course and is good if you love to run and must exercise but don't want to take a cab to Percy Warner Park or Radnor Lake.

This old Nashville theater added on a recent renovation and is now bigger and better than ever: old + new = yes please. They are always showing a good mix of indie, docu, classics, and it's a really special space. There's no other art house film space in the city!

The Produce Place is owned by sweet Dan who started it as possibly the first farm to table neighborhood market (besides the big Farmer's Market downtown) in Nashville (before Whole Foods & Turnip Truck...). They have an interesting array of produce, grains, cereals, nuts, and they have pre-made dinners from Coco's Italian market (neighborhood place), local dairy & bacon, and options for people (like me) with dietary restrictions.
