Bukchon, the residential area for high circles constructed during the Joseon Dynasty which had not changed very much until the 1920s, changed its urban construction to the modern style in the 1930s.

Traditional village with a long history located between Gyeongbok Palace and Changdeok Palace. Hanok village is composed of lots of alleys and is preserved to show a 600-year-old urban environment.
