Perched on a clifftop surrounded by countryside, sea views, maybe a sheep or two and nothing else. Gara Rock is easy-going and down to earth and welcomes everyone, even your four-legged friends. Offering both lunch and dinner, it is a lovely place to dine, you can eat al fresco on the terrace overlooking the beach or in winter watch the waves crashing from the comfort of the restaurant with its huge floor to ceiling windows.

I'd suggest catching the ferry across to East Portlemouth, and walking down the country lanes to Gara Rock Hotel for some food or drink with incredible far reaching views across the ocean, and then walking back along the coast path back towards salcombe and finishing on Mill Bay beach.

Amazing view over the sea from the clifftop restaurant. Great for lunch or afternoon tea.

A great place to walk to for lunch. Take the ferry over to East Portlemouth, walk along the costal path to Gara Rock Hotel, lunch and back..
