In Wailua the Kamokila Hawaiian Village provides outrigger rides down the Wailua River, which offers a calm and serene setting for this activity. The Village is a short distance away from hiking trails that lead to waterfalls as well as grottos and swimming holes. They provide two Outrigger Canoes that come with a steersman. This activity can be enjoyed by everyone!! Children through Seniors, fun for the whole family and friends.

Walk on the grounds to see the last remaining grass shacks and view hawaiian plants. The guides there will give you information. You may also pay for a real hawaiian canoe ride. They take you up the river and explain the history of wailua and its importance to the hawaiian culture. Then rent a kayak for the day! go up and walk to the secret waterfall where you can swim. Great place to eat lunch. make it an all day thing!

Want to fit a cool activity into your day? Cruise over here, rent a paddle board or kayak and paddle over to the secret falls hike. If you leave from here the trailhead is only 10 min down the river!
