This is a great place for beginner/intermediate skiers/snowboarders. The mountain isn't too big, and it's not too small either. You can buy tickets in advance online or at a ski rental place in town. They usually have a discount.

Closet Ski resort, within 50 miles from us. Plan on leaving early in the morning and stay until mid afternoon.

Good stop in between the Bay Area and South Lake Tahoe. Lift tickets are less expensive compared to Heavenly Ski Resort.
