The Elizabethan Gardens is a beautiful sound-side botanical garden that is worth visiting any time of year. Take a shady stroll through the gardens to see the gorgeous landscape as well as antique statuary. There is a great gift shop in the gatehouse where you enter and plant sales in the nursery. An audio tour is available to guide you through. Also, they are dog friendly. Newly opened are a butterfly house and adjacent children's play area and discovery cottage. The Elizabethan Gardens hosts many events and programs throughout the year.
