The museum was founded in 1919, the company owner, world traveler, art collector and patron Ferenc Hopp (1833-1919). Who in his will left the state for the purpose Oriental collection of about 4,000 pieces Eastern art museum foundation. Beautiful Far Eastern Museum with it's famous garden.

Musem with its own oriental garden around. The venue is also home to the only Asian arts library that is aimed at promoting Asian cultures and arts.
