The hours are tricky but this museum has preserved some much overlooked history of colonial American life and has the only remaining structure in the northern states that was built to house enslaved people. Well worth a visit.

Royal House and Slave Quarters is a museum. Only remaining such structure in the northern United States, and the Royall House is among the finest colonial-era buildings in New England.
