if you make your way east across McGuiness Avenue and deeper into Greenpoint, you'll come upon McGolrick Park. Not as large as McCarran Park but it does span an entire city block. it's a great place to lounge around, relax and take in the sights. There are a few monuments in the park with my favorite being dedicated to the construction of the USS Monitor. it was built by Built by Greenpoint ship building in 1861 and was the first ironclad ship to ever be constructed. in the 1800s Greenpoint was a seafaring community dedicated to shipbuilding and all things nautical.

Small and quaint park with lots of trees and a serene arch in the middle. There are several coffee shops nearby (Variety Coffee, and Crema BK).
