Hip example of Melbourne's liveability - go rockclimbing under a highway and right beside the Yarra River. Great spot to walk to along the Yarra River.

Free climbing walls, under Citylink, parallel to the Yarra River. Tram: number 70 along Swan Street, off at Coppin st, left into Barkly Avenue, through Parks Victoria entrance and park. Walk down gravel driveway to river, turn right, walk across floating pontoon bridge. Bicycle: follow the Yarra River Trail to Burnley, stop opposite Herring Island.
