Clothing optional beach on UBC campus. You will see naked men, even in winter. You are warned. It's an amazing beach with brilliant views and a very unique hippy/student/nudist atmosphere. It's one of our favorite beaches. If you wanted to take some drinks to the beach, this is the one (though still be cautious, the police do poke around!)

"secret" beach - nudity allowed. A bit of a hike to get there, but it's worth the views (the view of Vancouver, that is :)

Famous for being among the most beautiful beaches in the world and Vancouver's only official "clothing optional" beach, there is so much more to Wreck Beach. The trail down to it (about 400 wooden and stone steps carved into steep cliffs descending from UBC) is worth walking up and down even if you didn't want to stay at the beach. On cloudy or rainy days it is a beautiful and largely deserted place to go for a walk - you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere on the edge of Canada's west coast, you can see only ocean and islands from here. On a sunny summer day, Wreck is a bustling place that feels like you have been transported to the other side of the planet from Vancouver - lots of make-shift vendors selling tie-dye, food, drinks, and pretty much anything else. It can be family friendly if you move to the edges of the main beach village atmosphere and the beach is stunning, especially when the tide is out. Leave your inhibitions behind, this is something unlike anything else in Vancouver!
