The Invermere area is hiker’s heaven. James Chabot Provincial Park is a 3 minute walk from the complex. The Dragonfly Boardwalk in the park is a short walk which allows visitors to enjoy views of the wetlands, lake and mountains. A hike to Lower Bugaboo Falls can be accomplished in half a day and rewards the hiker with beautiful view of the falls and mountains. The trail head is on Westside Rd. near Spillimacheen – about a 45 minute drive from Invermere. Lake Enid is west of Wilmer. The trail head is about a 20 minute drive from Invermere. Hike around the lake for lovely views of the lake area and distant mountains. The hike around the lake takes about 1 ½ hours.
