A good-old southern “meat and three” open for lunch only. They have the best fried chicken in town, hands down. They get crowded, so go early or you may have to wait. 104 8th St. $

This is an absolutely fabulous place to grab lunch! Third generation restaurant owned and operated by Rose and Melinda. Buffet style, so go get in line before the clock hits noon, but the line moves quickly! My favorite is Friday Grouper!

Let’s not forget Minnie’s! Established in 1987 it’s an absolute staple for great southern home-style cooking in Columbus. This is more of a lunch time place only so make sure you check the hours. You’ll also want to save room for dessert!!! So good! Mon - Fri:10:45 am - 2:30 pm Sat:Closed Sun:10:45 am - 2:30 pm
