This beach and tidal pool is a short 5min walk from the unit. The signature tidal pool at Thompsons Bay was originally built by a local farmer to get in his swim training. As with most beaches in the Ballito area that accompany tidal pools, alternating between the beach and the tidal pool is a must. Take a set of goggles and snorkels to see the beautiful fish and coral.

A large tidal pool flanks the beach and then there is the hole in the wall and lots of places for exploring. great fun for the whole family. The tidal pool is better for swimming than the sea which is a bit rough there

Lovely beach with tidal pool. Some nice walks around the beach. This beach is quiet sheltered so is great for windy days.

When visiting the beach at low tide, make sure that you take a walk past the tidal pool through "The hole in the wall" Dont forget your camera!!! Please do not go through this wall at high tide, you may become stranded

Lots of options here! Main beach which is fairly quiet during peak season. Tidal pool and walk through rock passage to explore hidden gems. Short walk down flight of fairly steep stairs to get to beach.
